We welcomed our first baby boy on Friday February 13th, 2009; he was born with a rare condition called Bronchial Malaysia. We were told he would grow out of it by age 3. He did not. On May 10, 2012 our little 3 year old boy had been in the hospital bed for going on 5 days with no answers of why he was sick. Finally an answer came. The doctors told us he has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. We were relieved since we had answers, but now were in an unknown territory. We were told we would put his Bronchial Malaysia would have to wait to be repaired.

On May 11, 2012 he was taken into surgery; he had a port placed in his chest to make it easier for the doctors and nurses to give him chemo and draw his blood. Within hours of coming out of surgery he started chemo. He will continue to receive chemo therapy till July 2015. He is currently in active treatment. He has fought this battle with a brave “tuff guy” attitude. He has done his best to not let it slow him down from being like any other little boy. Carson also has a younger brother Blake who is 2. He has also been brave, and gone with us all on this bumpy road.
